“A fully equipped Röntgen institute will have many appliances and apparatuses of very different kinds, for example the X-ray room, the darkroom, and the positive and therapy rooms with their special auxiliary apparatus. […] Thus, as well as the equipment that generates the high tension current, consisting of an inductor and circuit breaker, a major role is also played by the switchboard, X-ray tubes, and above all various diaphragm constructions.”
